Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who often sparks controversies with her straightforward statements, recently stated that many male actors in the Hindi film industry are “badtameez”(impolite). She also said that the industry is a very dirty and filthy place, which is unkind to outsiders.
In a recent interview with the Hauterrfly, Kangana was asked whether she faced any inconvenient advances from male actors. Answering the same, Kangana said that she hasn’t worked with many male actors because her main concern was that these heroes are “badtameez”.
Adding that she is not implying it in a sexual way, Kangana stated that she faced a lot of troubles due to male actors, like coming late to the sets, behaving rudely to her, sidelining her, giving a small caravan, etc.
She went on to add that filmmakers have also filed cases against her for speaking against these practices. “They were like, most of the girls in the industry are okay with this, and why am I so adamant?” she added.
Speaking about how the industry is a dirty and filthy space for outsiders, Kangana said that she openly spoke about it during the MeToo campaign as well. Kangana said that many aspiring female actors get troubled by casting couch incidents in Mumbai.
