For playing Lord Sriram or Lord Sri Krishna, the one actor who we all remember is Sr NTR. Such was the impact that he left by playing Gods on the screen. As his grandson, Jr NTR also began his career by playing Lord Sriram as a child artist in Balaramayanam, directed by Gunasekhar. After decades, NTR will be playing Lord Muruga on the screen, in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. The context is set and the forces has to join now to take the project forward. However, there is more than a year left for the film to hit the floors.
Producer Naga Vamsi updated the status of the film. He revealed that the team is working on the announcement video for which they set their standards high. After the recent Ranbir’s Ramayana announcement stirring a discussion across the nation, the team wants the Project Muruga announcement also to create a spark across the nation.
Naga Vamsi also added that the team is not at all in a hurry to make the announcement as they would take their sweet time in pushing things forward. Meanwhile, the star producer also confirmed that the film will hit the floors only in the second half of 2026.
“Trivikram garu will start working for Venkatesh garu’s film from next month and it was scheduled for an early Summer 2026 release. Post the film’s release, we will wrap up the pre-production in 3-4 months which is already underway. So, in the second half of 2026, the film’s shoot will begin,” Naga Vamsi said.
The producer did not throw a clarity on the film’s release date as he left it to the time that will consume for the completion of CGI. The project was supposed to happen in the combination of Allu Arjun and Trivikram. But, it finally landed into the lap of NTR.
