Anupama Parameswaran made her debut with Premam in Malayalam and later ventured into Telugu with the film A Aa. Later, she went on to be seen in many good films, earning credibility for herself as an actress. Now, she plans to come up with a female-centric movie titled Paradha. The actress explained the challenges in a female-centric film, appealing to the audience to a large extent.

Anupama expressed an opinion that people are willing to watch films on OTT but not show the same interest in coming to theatres, especially when it is a female-centric film. Since these films are not viable commercially, a lot of them are appearing on OTT platforms.

“But, people must encourage our films also in theatres. A lot of films like Arundathi, Bhaagmathi, and others did well in theatres. Paradha is also an answer to everything that is expected from any other film but this is lead by a female star. I don’t do fights like any other regular hero but our film also has a good story,” said Anupama.

Anupama stressed the fact that the female centric films also must be on commercial format for a survival theatrically. She urged the audiences to watch her film if they get to hear some good reviews and positive word of mouth from others.

The lead cast of Paradha also includes Anupama, Darshana Rajendran, Rag Mayur, Sangitha Krish, Rajendra Prasad and Harsha Vardhan. The film is produced by Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, Sridhar Makkuva under Ananda Media banner. Praveen Kandregula is the director.
