After the pan-India success of HanuMan, Teja Sajja is back with a fantasy action-adventure film Mirai, which has exceeded expectations with the trailer launched today. Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, the film is set to release on September 12.
Speaking about being called a pan-India hero, Teja said, “They’re calling me a pan-India hero, but I don’t see it that way. I’m making films primarily for the Telugu audience. If my films happen to resonate with people in other regions and find success there, nothing would make me happier.”
Teja, who committed to Mirai well before the release of HanuMan, affirmed that he would still choose to do the film today, describing it as a great project. He also expressed his desire to collaborate with director Karthik again in the future.
Teja Sajja also praised his producer Vishwa Prasad and co-stars Manoj Manchu, Shriya Saran, and Jagapathi Babu. He shared that Mirai offers multiple layers: “It includes elements like Ashoka, books full of mysteries, the hero’s adventurous journey to protect them, and much more. But at its heart, it’s about how far a son will go to fullfill his mother’s wish, and the extremes he’s willing to cross for it.”
He described Mirai as a clean, family-friendly film. “Mirai is a complete commercial package with fantasy, action, adventure, emotion, elevation, and devotion elements, all woven into a proper entertainer.”
Buzz around the film is high across various languages, and the strong response to the trailer in multiple regions reflects that anticipation.
