Ravi Basrur is one of the top music composers in the South Indian film industry. Although he has been working on Kannada films for some time now, the music composer shot to fame for his work on the KGF franchise. However, when director Prashanth Neel repeated him again for Salaar, the fans were disappointed with the not-so-haunting background score. The composer has now issued a clarification on what went through the making of Salaar BGM.
Ravi Basrur revealed that it was director Prashanth Neel’s call to have such BGM for Salaar. Prashanth wanted the BGM to be like a slow poison and not an instant hit or haunting beat like in KGF.
During Salaar’s release, everyone thought that it wasn’t up to mark, and everyone compared it with KGF and was disappointed. Ravi Basrur admitted the same and clarified in a recent interview that it was intentional to have the score in such a manner. Like how Prashanth made a judgment, the BGM of Salaar got appreciation in later days, after the film was made available online.
Now, Ravi Basrur is working on the NTR-Neel project, which is tentatively titled Dragon. There are huge expectations on this film’s score as well, since it is a proper commercial action drama.
