On Monday, former IAS officer Vijay Kumar filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court against the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, alleging that he misused the government funds to make his film Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Vijay Kumar requested the magistrate to restrict Pawan from acting in films or advertisements, promoting and producing them, or participating in any entertainment-related events.
In his petition, Vijay Kumar requested the High Court to order a CBI probe into the matter of misuse of government funds to make Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The High Court’s bench, comprising Judge Dr Justice Venkata Jyotirmayi Pratapa, rejected the petitioner’s lawyer’s request to order notices to Pawan Kalyan, CBI and ACB at this stage. The judge postponed the hearing to next week.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan or the team of Hari Hara Veera Mallu hasn’t responded to this petition yet. Hari Hara Veera Mallu, produced by AM Ratnam, was released on July 24th and ended up as a colossal disaster at the box office, incurring huge losses to the makers.
