Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran collaborated on the prestigious film L2E: Empuraan. The film has become controversial, as many people have raised objections to certain scenes. RSS has also raised objections to certain scenes in the film, which are compared to the Gujarat Riots that took place in 2022.

However, the makers got the film re-censored, and we came to know that the film got 24 cuts. The film’s updated version is available in theatres from today.

The following are the major developments from the re-censor.

Removal of central minister Suresh Gopi’s name

Muting the references to the National Investigation Agency.

Removal of vehicles with religious symbols.

Removal of woman assault scene

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film featured Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Murali Gopy and others in crucial roles. At least now, we hope that the controversy surrounding Empuraan comes to an end.
