From the past few weeks, there have been numerous speculations that Kollywood actor cum director Samuthirakani is likely to reunite with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan for another film soon. The duo previously collaborated for the 2023 fantasy comedy Bro and it managed only a lukewarm response at the box office. Pawan Kalyan’s fans did not fully get satisfied with the actor’s character in the story and the overall output of the film.
The ongoing rumours stemmed after Samuthirakani reportedly met Pawan Kalyan at his Mangalagiri office in Amaravati a few months ago. Though nothing concrete has been officially announced, the meeting of the director and the actor sparked a buzz and gave way for rumours all over.
Now, Samuthirakani himself came up with an unexpected update which came as a big surprise to everyone. During the trailer launch event of Kaantha in Hyderabad just a while ago, Samuthirakani openly stated that the script for the sequel to Bro is already completed and will flag off once Pawan allots his dates. Samuthirakani revealed this development during his media interaction when a journalist asked him about his plans.
His statement is currently going viral and triggered an immediate response from Pawan’s fans who seem to be more worried than being excited with the news because of the disappointing result of Bro. As Pawan Kalyan recently made a strong comeback with OG, they want him to come with more such vintage and fan frenzy stories rather than experimental roles like Bro.
Though it is unclear if Pawan Kalyan really evinced interest to join hands with Samuthirakani again at this point due to his busy political commitments, one thing is very sure that the chances for Bro 2 happening in the near future are very bleak. Even if Pawan is keen to do more films, he has already promised to work on other projects and will be busy for the next few years. So, there is no need for fans to worry much about Samuthirakani’s statement.
