There’s a lot of drama happening around Game Changer during the promotions of Thammudu, which is releasing on July 4th. As Dil Raju and Shirish didn’t get a chance to interact with the media during the Sankranthi season, the press is now leaving no stone unturned in questioning them about the failure of Game Changer and the financial losses they faced with the Ram Charan starrer directed by Shankar.

In a recent promotional interview for Thammudu, Nithiin asked Dil Raju about the phase between January 10 and January 14, between the release of Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. “Did you ever think, what if Sankranthiki Vasthunnam also fails?” Nithiin asked.

Dil Raju responded, “I was clear from Game Changer’s release day itself that there would be financial losses. But I was confident Sankranthiki Vasthunnam would be a hit — though I didn’t expect it to be such a massive success.”

In other media interactions, Dil Raju and Shirish admitted that while Sankranthiki Vasthunnam didn’t completely recover the losses of Game Changer, around 60-70% of the deficit was covered. Shirish added, “Without Anil Ravipudi, Sri Venkateswara Creations wouldn’t have stood strong today.” He also revealed that after Game Changer’s result, neither Ram Charan nor Shankar reached out to them — not even for courtesy, which no one expected.

Adding a twist to the ongoing speculations, Dil Raju made a surprising announcement at the Thammudu release trailer event last night.

Speaking confidently at the event, he said, “Thammudu will be another hit for us this year after Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. We carry the guilt that Game Changer didn’t live up to your expectations. We will soon fulfill that by doing a film with Ram Charan. Plans are already in place — an official announcement will be made soon.”

This confirms that a Dil Raju–Ram Charan film is very likely to happen. Dil Raju had already revealed in a recent interview that he’s committed to producing films with directors Sukumar and Prashanth Neel. He also mentioned being in talks with SS Rajamouli and, according to our sources, discussions are on with Sandeep Reddy Vanga as well. So, the Ram Charan project could materialize with any of these big names.

On the professional front, Ram Charan is currently busy shooting for Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Up next, he will team up with director Sukumar for a film produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
