Dhurandhar is one of the interesting projects in Hindi right now. The film’s trailer is out today. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, the film’s trailer hints at a raw portrayal of a real story. The trailer introduces the lead characters of the film with some graphic visuals. The film hints at a big, violent film.
Arjun Rampal plays an ISI agent named Major Iqbal, and his introduction is made in an extremely violent manner. R Madhavan is also seen as Ajay Sanyal, whose role is inspired byNational Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Akshaye Khanna is seen as Rehman Dakai, and Sanjay Dutt plays SP Chaudhary Aslam. The setup and world is between India and Pakistan.
Dhurandhar is rumoured to be based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma, who went undercover as Iftikhar and infiltrated Hizbul Mujahideen in the early 2000s. Aditya Dhar is returning to direction, six years after his debut directorial Uri: The Surgical Strike.
The trailer gets into full-on action mode. However, it repeats the same kind of Bollywood template. The star cast is quite big and a good talk for the film at the box office will bring in solid run. The action sequences are the heart of the film and the thrilling aspects might surely win brownie points. However, the gore content might limit the audiences’ reception. But, Madhavan’s unique appearance is interesting.
