A couple of days after the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) had ordered the closure of the Bigg Boss Kannada House, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar came to the rescue of the Bigg Boss Kannada organisers and passed an order to lift the seal.
DK Shivakumar took to X last night and wrote, “I have directed the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to lift the seal on Jollywood premises in Bidadi, where Bigg Boss Kannada is being filmed.” The Deputy CM went on to say that he is committed to protecting the state’s environment.
“While environmental compliance remains a top priority, the studio will be given time to address violations in accordance with the norms set by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. I remain committed to supporting the Kannada entertainment industry, while also upholding our responsibility toward environmental protection,” he concluded.
The Deputy CM’s decision has invited a mixed response from the people of Karnataka. Netizens questioned his priority to the Bigg Boss show over the environmental concerns in the state. The Bigg Boss Kannada reality show is being hosted by Sandalwood star Sudeep.
Sudeep expressed his gratitude towards Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar for his quick intervention in resolving the issue surrounding the Bigg Boss house seal. Sudeep thanked the authorities for recognizing that the show had no connection with the recent disturbances that led to the closure notice.
He also appreciated the Deputy CM’s prompt response and acknowledged Nalpad’s efforts in addressing the matter. Sudeep’s note reflected relief and optimism as he confirmed that Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 will continue as planned, reassuring fans with his statement — “#BBK12 is here to stay🔥.”
