Powerstar Pawan Kalyan jumped back into the shoot of Hari Hara Veera Mallu recently. The film is billed to be a period drama where Pawan plays a thief. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and AM Jyothi Krishna, the film is gearing up for a grand release next month. Meanwhile, there are a lot of interesting things floating around regarding the costumes of Pawan Kalyan.
The film is set in 17th century Mughal era, and Aishwarya Rajeev is the costume designer working on the project. Since she already worked with Balakrishna on Gautamiputra Satakarni, she has experience of designing costumes for a film like this. The team reportedly worked with several weavers in Telangana, Surat and Mumbai. Using natural colors and dye, earthy tones like brown, rustic maroon, etc, the team designed unique fabrics.
The team put in enormous effort into making the costumes for the film. The team used to design costumes and then meet Pawan for his approvals. After costume trails, the costume gets finalized. When Pawan donned the warrior costume for the first time on the sets, the entire team was in the awe of the actor.
Additionally, the team utilised over 1000 thans (cotton fabric) for the film. Pawan Kalyan will be seen in 20 different outfits of the film. He will be majorly seen in Kurta and Dhoti. The accessories Pawan used to wear also are unique and interesting.
Additionally, the team designed 20 pairs of leather chappals (footwear) customized and handmade by Venkateswara Rao. 500 kilos of Jewelry worth 3 crore also came into the making. The team also utilised real jewelry.
