Sree Vishnu is currently starring in a love-action-comedy, with Kona Venkat presenting the film. Directed by debutant Janakiram Marella and produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner, the film’s title Comrade Kalyan was revealed through a striking promo released on the occasion of Dussehra.

The story dates back to 1992, during the height of the Naxalite movement. A radio broadcast warns citizens of the growing threat. The police are on the hunt for the most-wanted Naxalite, Comrade Kalyan. Interestingly, the man himself is seen pasting his own wanted posters, with a reward of 5 lakhs.

Sree Vishnu portrays a character with dual shades and impresses in the titular role as a Naxalite leader. His intense screen presence, combined with the film’s gripping visuals by cinematographer Sai Sriram and a vibrant score by Vijay Bulganin, ensures the title promo leaves a strong impression.

While the promo emphasizes the film’s serious tone, the movie will also have a beautiful love story and abundant comedic elements. Mahima Nambiar stars as the female lead opposite Sree Vishnu, with a stellar supporting cast that includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Shine Tom Chacko, and Upendra Limaye.
