Megastar Chiranjeevi has confirmed that his upcoming socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara directed by Vassishta on UV Creations will release in summer 2026, citing the extensive visual effects work as the reason for the delay. In a video statement released ahead of his birthday on August 22nd, the actor addressed fan concerns and promised it will appeal to all sections.
“The second half of Vishwambhara is driven entirely by VFX and graphics. The delay is a conscious choice to ensure the highest quality,” Chiranjeevi said. “This is a film being made with passion, without cutting corners.”
To mark his birthday, the makers are releasing a special glimpse from the film today at 6:06 PM. Chiranjeevi described Vishwambhara as a magical story, reminiscent of Chandamama folklore.
The film recently wrapped its shoot with a large-scale dance number featuring Chiranjeevi and actress Mouni Roy. Trisha Krishnan is the female lead in the movie, where Ashika Ranganath and Kunal Kapoor will be seen in crucial roles.
