The Tamil Nadu government is rattled by a series of bomb hoaxes, resulting in panic today. Some false alarms have been generated at some high-profile individual houses along with the residence of the Chief Minister and the Governor’s Mansion, creating unrest.
The Chennai police control room received a call on Friday morning, claiming that a bomb had been planted at actress Trisha’s residence in Teynampet. The actress was not present at her residence, but the police swiftly acted by searching the premises of her residence with the help of sniffer dogs. However, they concluded that the threat is a hoax.
Additionally, similar false alarms were also reported at the Governor’s Mansion, the Chief Minister’s office, the BJP headquarters, and actor SV Shekhar’s residence. The police officials conducted detailed searches everywhere and concluded that they were hoaxes.
The investigation is underway to find out if there is any individual or group behind these repeated hoax threats.
