Vijay Anthony, whose last film Maargan opened to a decent response at the box office, is back again with another thriller titled Bhadrakali. Last time, he embraced a crime thriller, but this time it is a political thriller. Directed by Arun Prabhu of Aruvi and Vaazh fame, the film’s trailer is cut in such a way that it generates instant interest in the movie.

Going by the trailer of Bhadrakali, it talks about the political world involving politicians, government officials, foreign ambassadors, ministers, and others. But one common link that connects all of these is the hero. Vijay Anthony does not come immediately in the trailer but the trailer was cut in such a way that every character tries to evoke curiosity around the character Vijay plays. In short words, Vijay is the most wanted person for everyone involved in this political world.

The trailer of Bhadrakali raises curiosity about what he does and he is been attributed with a lot of negative things like being a pimp, gangster, and corrupted person. The thrilling elements are in ample quotient that the audiences would intrigue to the pace of the narration. It’s been a while a rooted political thriller has come in the recent times and Tamil cinema always does a neat job in this genre.

If Vijay Antony promotes the film well, it would surely catch the interest of the audiences. For Maargan, the effort he put in the promotions is comparitively less than what he usually does. But we have to see if Bhadrakali brings much-needed success to Vijay after a long gap.

Vijay Antony, Vaagai Chandrasekar, Sunil Kripalani, Cell Murugan, Trupthi Ravindra, Kiran, Rini, Riya Jithu ,and Master Keshav are the part of the film’s cast. Shelley R. Calist is the DOP and Vijay himself has composed the music for the movie. The film is bankrolled by Sarvanth Ram Creations, Ramanjaneyulu Javvaji Productions and Vijay Antony Film Corporation.

The film is hitting the screens on September 19th.
