Released on January 12, 2025, as a Sankranthi festive treat, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj went on to become a huge success at the box office. The film ended up amassing over Rs 126 crore gross at the box office worldwide. Balayya’s success streak had stunned not only his fans but even film industry circles.
And it’s not all over yet for Daaku Maharaaj. The film has just completed its grand silver jubilee run in cinemas. The high-budget action drama has been running for all 4 shows for the last 175 days since its day 1 at the Venkateswara Theater in Chilakaluripet in Guntur. Balayya has just delivered his fourth consecutive 175-day film with Daaku Maharaaj, which is an unprecedented feat.
Prior to Daaku Maharaaj, Balayya’s Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, and Bhagavanth Kesari too had a silver jubilee run in theaters. This proves Balayya’s unbeatable star power among the masses, which even most top-league Tollywood stars dream of. Also, Balayya is undoubtedly having the best time among all other senior heroes.
Daaku Maharaaj also stars Bobby Deol, Shraddha Srinath, Pragya Jaiswal, Urvashi Rautela, and others in key roles. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film was produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. Thaman’s explosive background score is one of the film’s highlights.
Balayya is currently shooting for Akhanda 2: Thandavam, his most ambitious project under Boyapati Sreenu’s direction. The film will have a pan-Indian release later this year, and its success in the North Indian markets will introduce Balayya’s mass power to the Hindi-speaking audiences.
