As we reported earlier, Baahubali is returning to the big screen, this time as a single, re-edited epic. Marking the 10th anniversary of Baahubali: The Beginning today, the makers have officially announced a grand worldwide theatrical release of Baahubali: The Epic on October 31, 2025.

This re-release is not a celebratory screening or special showcase. The team is treating it as a full-fledged film release, with global distribution and theatrical partnerships already in place. Director SS Rajamouli has restructured the two-part saga — Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) — into a single, cohesive cut titled Baahubali: The Epic. The goal is to present the story in one seamless narrative, with tighter pacing. While fans may hope for additional footage, it remains to be seen if such content has been added.

Baahubali…The beginning of many journeys.Countless memories.Endless inspiration.It’s been 10 years.Marking this special milestone with #BaahubaliTheEpic, a two-part combined film.In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025. pic.twitter.com/kaNj0TfZ5g— rajamouli ss (@ssrajamouli) July 10, 2025

Director SS Rajamouli and Producer Shobu Yarlagadda, who hinted at a theatrical comeback earlier this year, made the news official on the film’s anniversary. The release date, October 31, 2025, also falls during lead actor Prabhas’ birthday week, adding to the fan excitement.

The distribution strategy reflects the wide scale of the release. The official theatrical partners across key regions are:

Nizam: Asian Suresh Entertainment

Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka: Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram

North India & Select International Territories: AA Films

North America: Variance Films

France: Carlotta Films

Japan: Movie Twin

The franchise, directed by Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, redefined commercial cinema in India. With its high production values, VFX innovation, and pan-India appeal, Baahubali became a cultural landmark that opened new markets for Telugu cinema.

Now, with Baahubali: The Epic, the team aims to revive that cinematic magic for a new generation. While major promotions are yet to begin, the announcement has already sparked renewed interest among fans and trade circles.

As the release date nears, all eyes will be on how this re-edited version is received, and whether it can recreate the scale and success the franchise first achieved. For now, one thing is certain — this isn’t just a re-release. It’s Baahubali, once again made for the big screen.
