We have come to the end of the first half of 2025, and it has been a poor period for the Telugu film industry, with less than a handful of hits. In January, Daaku Maharaaj and Sankranthiki Vasthunam did well at the box office.

In February, only Thandel managed to score a success. In March, Court and MAD Square became successful in theatres. April had no hits while May witnessed successes in the form of HIT 3 and Single. In June, Kuberaa & Kannappa managed to do good at the box office.

Additionally, there weren’t any big releases in the first half of 2025. However, we are going to witness many big film releases in the second half, on which the exhibitors have pinned high hopes. There are many big-ticket films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, OG, Akhanda 2, Mirai, Vishwambhara and The Raja Saab hitting the screens in the next six months.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu fixed its release date as July 24. Thus, Kingdom, which is slated for July release, may be moved to August. Along with that, Thammudu (July 4) is also gearing up for release in July.

In August, apart from Kingdom, we would have two big releases in the form of War 2 and Coolie (both on August 14). Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara is gearing up for release on August 27.

OG and Akhanda 2 are slated for release on September 25th, as of now. Vishwambhara may also hit the screens either in September or October. Mirai is slated for release on September 5.

In December, we will have Prabhas’s The Raja Saab on Dec 05. On the whole, there is an exciting season ahead, and we hope TFI ends the year on a high note by scoring maximum hits in these six months.
