Janhvi Kapoor, is still struggling to score big in Bollywood despite years of effort. Even though she picked films that gave her scope to perform, most of them failed to work commercially. Her latest outing Param Sundari, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and directed by Tushar Jalota, was expected to bring her a breakthrough. But the film turned out to be a disappointment.

The story revolves around a youngster named Param, who creates an app that matches people with their life partners. While demonstrating the app, he falls in love with a girl in Kerala, only to find out she is already engaged. What follows is a predictable track that even kids can guess from the start.

With outdated storytelling, weak comedy, and a recycled plot, the film hardly entertains. Janhvi delivers a solid performance as the Malayali girl, but her efforts go in vain. Sidharth Malhotra too appears routine in a role that offers nothing new. Even the music by Sachin-Jigar, though decent, could not save the film from sinking.

Overall, Param Sundari ends up testing patience more than entertaining. Many are now wondering if Janhvi should seriously shift her focus to Telugu cinema, where she already proved herself, rather than chasing uncertain ground in Bollywood.
