The first two weeks of November saw no big hits in Tollywood. Films like Mass Jathara, Jatadhara and Kaantha failed to impress moviegoers. Rashmika Mandanna’s The Girlfriend managed to collect decent revenues but didn’t achieve the desired box office result. So far, it has been a dull phase for Telugu trade circles. There are few low budget films gearing up for release on the coming Friday.

Ram Pothineni’s upcoming entertainer Andhra King Taluka is the only prominent release this month before Nandamuri Balakrishna’s pan-India film Akhanda 2 and Sharwanand’s Biker take over the box office. Andhra King Taluka is set for a grand release on November 27th as per the latest reports from the production house. This means the film’s release date is preponed by a day. So, it will have 8 days open ground to mint strong revenues.

Had the makers of Andhra King Taluka released the film well in advance, there could have been adequate time and free window before the release of Akhanda 2 and other movies. Now, the Ram starrer will need to get unanimous talk to sustain after the first week of its release because there is terrific buzz on Akhanda 2.

Andhra King Taluka is a make or break film for Ram. He suffered back-to-back failures and needs a strong comeback with this film. The impressive teasers and hit songs created a solid buzz on the film. The presence of Upendra and Bhagyashri Borse in important roles is another asset for the film. Ram pinned a lot of hopes and very confident of delivering a decent hit.

Directed by P. Mahesh Babu, Andhra King Taluka is billed as a biopic of a fan who adores a film superstar. The film is said to be a blend of mass elements and emotional drama.
