Bollywood star Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Sitare Zameen Par, which is set to hit the screens on June 20. He is currently busy promoting the film, and in an interview, he revealed that his 90-year-old mother will be making her acting debut with this movie.
In a recent interview, Aamir said that his mother, Zeenat Hussain, once expressed her interest in visiting SZP sets. She visited the sets while the makers were shooting the “Happy Wedding” song. At that time, the film’s director, RS Prasanna, came to Aamir and requested him to make his mother a part of the song.
“Sir, if you don’t mind, can you please ask Ammi ji to be in the shot? It’s the last song of the film and a celebratory wedding scene. She can easily be part of the guests. Please, it will be an emotional moment for me, and I want her to be a part of this film,” Prasanna requested Aamir.
Aamir initially was against the idea and told Prasanna that his mother doesn’t like all these things, and she is very adamant. Upon Prasanna’s insistence, Aamir decided to ask her, thinking that she wouldn’t accept. But when he asked her, she accepted without any second thoughts. Aamir was shocked by her response.
Zeenat will be a part of a couple of shots in this Happy Wedding song. Aamir’s sister Nikhat Khan has also acted in this movie. Sitare Zameen Par features Genelia as the female lead. Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharma, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali play other key roles in the movie.
