A few weeks ago, it was reported that two big star heroes, Aamir Khan and Jr NTR, are planning to make a biopic on the father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke. While it was stated that Rajkumar Hirani will direct Aamir’s film, reports suggested that SS Rajamouli and SS Karthikeya would bankroll NTR’s movie. However, cinema lovers weren’t happy with the fact that both actors were trying to work on the same story, as it would not be a healthy move.
Meanwhile, Aamir recently opened up on this biopic in a recent interview and said that the pre-production work has already started and the movie will hit the floors next year. On the other hand, there was no official announcement from NTR yet about this movie, but he has been signing another film with Trivikram, making people believe that he might have decided to skip the project.
In a recent interview, Aamir was asked about the rumours of Dadasaheb Phalke’s biopic. Responding to the same, he said that the pre-production work has begun, and the shoot may start next year. He stated, “It’s a very challenging film for me and Raju. It’s not a regular film with a lot of action or huge set pieces. It’s a story of a man who did those things which others couldn’t even imagine at that time.
He was an adventurer, a person who was full of life and excitement about something which he wanted to do. It’s one man’s journey on an adventure which even he doesn’t know that time where it will lead him. I feel it’s a very inspirational movie. It will be a great honour for Raju and me to make a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke.” When asked whether this film would have the trademark humour style of Hirani, Aamir said that the film will definitely be a drama with a lot of humour, just like Hirani’s previous films.
On the other side, Tarak didn’t respond to Phalke’s biopic rumours yet. Meanwhile, he signed a film with Trivikram, which is rumoured to be based on Lord Murugan. He confirmed that this project would take a lot of time. Meanwhile, he also has Prashanth Neel’s film and Devara 2 in his lineup.
Considering this lineup, he is busy for at least a couple of years. So, people are assuming that Tarak might skip doing Dadasaheb Phalke’s biopic. But anyway, nothing can be confirmed until it comes from the horse’s mouth. So, only time will answer.
